i am so happy and couldnt wait to tell my husband that i found another couple like us. I am african american and my husband is east indian . We have been married 5mths and together 3 yrs. sometimes we feel like there are no other couples out there like us. we dont always get accepted but we love one another. I am so intrigued about your trip to india. I for one havent made it there yet ..i am too afraid that i wont be accepted. my husband wants me to go so bad. his parents are already deceased however his sisters really are curious but i am so fearful because i know they werent happy about the relationship when we first met and i am afraid of what people in the streets of india may say or do to me . I cant wait to hear from you! makes me feel like we are not alone. finally

      Hi Foz,

I am Pakistani as well and intend to marry a Black man. How did you approach this subject to your parents? And did he convert to Islam? (I am Muslim, and he is Catholic; but i’d rather not he convert for the sake of it!)

  4. Hi,
My name is Sidd Valicharla and I love your blog. I have a blog of my own (http://knowrealindia.wordpress.com/) which I have started a couple of months ago which juxtaposes Cultural, Political and Religious experiences that I have had in America with those that I have had in India. I would like to request you to read my posts and help me develop my style and content. I would also appreciate if you could mention them in your ‘Favorite Blogs and Websites’ section if you find them worthy!

Thanks for your time and consideration.

    Sincerely,
    Sidd Valicharla

My husband and I must be one for the record book. Filipina/black and husband is Nepali. Been all over the internet looking for interracial/cultural sites, this is the first one Iva come across where one spouse was not caucasian. Keep on posting! 🙂
